If you are given the chance to attend an interview for carpenter job, you need to grab the chance. There are a lot of questions that may be asked in the process so you need to prepare well.


Question 1: Why do you want to be carpenter?

This question is usually for people who are new to the industry. If you have worked in the field for more than 5 years, you would not be asked for this question usually. But newbie to the industry should prepare for this.


Question 2: How much do you expect to earn?

You need to refer to the advertisement of the job recruitment and find the information related to the salary. You can also search for the information about average salary in the market in some online websites.


Question 3: How will you deal with difficulties in your work?

You are expected to provide a concrete example which can show that you encountered some difficulties in your work. You would also need to tell the way that you do in order to resolve the problem in that time.


Question 4: Share with me your life goal.

Your life goal can be the successful carpenter. But you can also tell some of your personal goals apart from career goal. You can choose to work for some meaningful things after you retire and this can be your life goal.


Question 5: How do you interact with your seniors?

When you work as the carpenters, there might be a lot of occasions in which different opinions would be held between you and your seniors. Therefore, you need to know the way to interact with them so as to achieve the high quality of work.


Question 6: Do you prefer to work in a team?

In the carpenter field, there would usually be occasions that you need to shoulder responsibilities with the others. Therefore, team work can be very important in determining the success of the job.


Question 7: How do you ensure the quality of work?

As mentioned above, there would be some occasions in which you need to work in a team. You need to tell the way that you can motivate the whole team to achieve something successful in the work.


Question 8: Will you consider yourself as an efficient person?

Some of the projects could be very urgent. Thus, you would need to be efficient. You need to quote some of the examples and explain the way that you do to achieve efficiency. Efficiency does not mean dealing with work till the last minute. Therefore, you need to make sure that you do not use the wrong example.


Question 9: How long can you work in a day?

There would usually be specific requirement listed in the job recruitment notice. This question therefore tests whether you have read through the notice carefully.


Question 10: How would you react when clients complain about your work?

Some of the carpenters may need to talk and negotiate with clients directly. Therefore, their interacting skills would count.
