Interview with Simon Cobb, Founder of PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation).
When and why did you start PAPA (People Against Parental Alienation)?
It was back in 2016 when I was having difficulty in seeing my son.
I had approached some other organisations for help but they tried to charge me extortionate amounts of money for support.
I decided there was a better way to get help and support without paying a lot of money. It didn’t seem right to have to pay to see my child.
So I started PAPA with the idea centred around self empowerment and being able to gain all information and resources at no charge.
Do you charge for any support?
No. All help, support and resources are completely free.
I noticed that PAPA is the main thing that comes up when searching parental alienation?
Yes. I mean in terms of membership and followers we are the largest parental alienation organisation in the world.
I know you’re based in the U.K. but I’ve seen you also have support in Canada?
Yes that’s correct. We are based in the U.K. but we have members and followers globally. Currently we have members signed up to the website from 15 different countries.
We do also have a Canadian chapter starting up which is being lead by Chris Rauch.
I know you help members with family court but do you offer any other support?
We offer help and support for all aspects of parental alienation so that can include reunification support as well as mental health support.
I’ve seen your Equal Parenting Campaign all over social media. Do you have any more campaigns planned?
Yes, we are always looking at starting new campaigns and pushing for legislative change that helps to prevent parental alienation from taking place.
More details will be announced on our next campaign soon.
Where is the best place for people to find your support?
The best place is always the PAPA website watch has a lot of information as well as a free to use support forum.
You can check out the website at: www.papaorg.co.uk
We also have a large presence throughout social media including a very active Facebook group which can be found by searching: PAPA People Against Parental Alienation on Facebook.
Thank you Simon for taking the time to give me some information on PAPA that I can share with my readers.
I just want to thank you for the amazing work you continue to do and I can’t wait to see what’s next for PAPA.
