3 reasons why a woman should also do chest exercises

Chest exercises are not only important for men’s fitness, but also for women’s fitness: here are three reasons to do them.

In view of the summer season, many women are starting to run for cover to get back in shape and try to regain their physical fitness lost under the pounds of the festive binges: among the exercises to regain muscle tone, those of the bibs should not be overlooked.

Although these are generally preferred by men to show sculpted and defined muscles, they are also important for women as there are benefits that are not completely overlooked. This type of targeted training, however, may take some time, but patience is then rewarded by the result you want to achieve.

Training the pectoral muscles: knowing the muscle group

Before going for training aimed at this category of muscles, it is important to know their physiognomy: the pectoral muscles, in fact, are mainly divided into two large groups of muscles, the large and the small chest. The first is a fan-shaped muscle that is located above the chest: composed of the clavicular and sternocostal head, together with other muscles it allows the arm to perform multiple movements, from flexion to rotation of the humerus to adduction. The small breastplate, however, is located lower and its main function is to allow certain shoulder and shoulder blade movements as well as to move the ribs during breathing.

Training the bibs: why is it important for women?

Once this small “anatomical” parenthesis has been closed, it is well known why targeted chest exercises are important for the male population: why, instead, should it be the same for women as well? Here are three basic reasons.

  • Firming the breasts. One of the main reasons why women decide to perform chest training is because they want to find a tone in their breasts. In fact, depending on the exercises and the constancy used, it is possible to go to tone the breast muscles: certainly, the area is mostly composed of fat and going to perform an exercise too intense could mean going to burn it and, therefore, find yourself with a slightly smaller breast. For this reason, it may be essential to try to find a compromise, a middle ground that allows you to go to firm up your breasts without reducing their size too much.

  • Strengthen your shoulders and arms. In addition to the breast, it is possible to tone and regain strength also in other parts of the body, on all arms and shoulders: depending on the exercises performed, other upper parts of the body can also be trained, such as through push-ups (especially with regard to shoulders), the classic plank, or exercises performed with weights or the special machines found in the gym (such as the pectoral machine or elastic cables).

  • Stay healthy and strong. It may seem a trivial motivation, but the most logical there is. It is important, in fact, to stay healthy by carrying out physical activity, whether it is a simple run or a targeted exercise to try to strengthen a certain area of ??the body, in this case, the pectoral muscles, shoulders and arms. The chest exercises, depending on the type performed, can help regain strength and health in women as well as make them toned and with an increasingly enviable physique: this does not necessarily mean becoming muscular, but what is enough to find, in fact, strength in the arms.
