when you are going to start your new job the first thing that comes in your mind is about your coworkers? your boss? Sometime you might fear that you’ll come across as rude or greedy person, but it is the standard part of hiring process. Here are some of tips and strategies for negotiating compensation package or raise from the company.
1) Your experience
Show your past experience to your employer and tell him why you are fit for the job. Hand -on experience is the best tool for salary negotiation. You can also demonstrate the examples how you’ve increased sales by 25% and doubled the productivity of the company in six months.
2) Wait for employer to make offer–
One of the most important step for salary negotiation is do not ask about salary yourself, wait for employer to make first offer. You can push the salary discussion until you have secured you position.
3) Never mix your personal life to negotiate salary–
Salary is always based on company’s budget and your capabilities. So never mention your personal issues why you need money. ” My wife needs an operation, so I need money”. These are not justifications for salary increase.
4) Research about position–

5) Be prepared to walk away–

Let them know that they don’t have to respond you the same time. They might consult their uppers or do some research themselves
